Injuries

There is a chart in a free article over at Baseball Prospectus that displays the gross number of days lost due to injury for each team last season. While the chart doesn't say anything about the quality of players that were injured, it does yield some information.

It's interesting to note that the Devil Rays lost the least number of days (315), which is not surprising since they are a very young team. The Diamondbacks lost the most number of days (~1850), and it really wasn't close except for a challenge by Texas (~1700). Again, the Diamondbacks are a very old team, so this doesn't surprise.

The Pirates finished better off than most at 13th fewest days lost due to injury, roughly about 700.
