Post game transcript
I was able to get my hands on the post-game transcript from Cowher's office.
Cowher: "What's the status on Ben's injury?"
Trainer: "He'll be a little sore this week, but it's just a bruise and shouldn't keep him out of the lineup."
Cowher: "Good, good. How about Chad Scott?"
Trainer: "Chad's injury is a bit more serious, we won't know until the tests come back. But he may have a tear which could keep him out indefinitely."
Cowher: "Hmmmm. Ok. How about Casey Hampton? I saw you taking a look at his knee."
Trainer: "Casey definitely has a tear and will miss the rest of the season."
Cowher: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

ha! while this may be a bit fabricated, probably not far from the truth.
Ben - if he's hurt a little, no big deal, he's a gamer and tough...Farve-tough if you will. it would be a blow to the lineup if he's hurt, but tommy would be ready to get back in soon.
chad scott - while he's not great, he's obviously better than whatever else they have (and i hate chad scott). this may be the only time you hear me say something positive about him. when he went out on sunday, and shoeless ike was in there, vinny was pretty much saying, "i'm throwing it to your side until you can prove you can stop it". well, ike didn't.
hampton - he's big. big = can't get around him; girth. big = key part of the defense. big = this is a big loss and it may take 2 guys to replace him. big = off. coord. were hesitent to run on him. this could be the downslide of the steeler d. only time will tell.
